Order your free tree!

The following announcement has been made by Chelmsford City Council.

We are pleased, to announce Chelmsford City Councils Tree giveaway 2025 is now live, and ready for residents to claim their free tree.

The Tree Giveaway is part of Chelmsford City Councils ‘Our Plan’ – Greening Chelmsford Strategy. This year, there are 1,200 trees available, and residents can choose between: Wayfaring Tree, Crab Apple, Silver Birch, and Whitebeam.

From today (6 October), until 6 November, Chelmsford residents can claim their tree to collect in late November as part of National Tree Week 2025.

The scheme is/will also be promoted through:

  • Love Your Chelmsford e-newsletter
  • The City Life website
  • Social media pages (Facebook/Instagram) for the main Chelmsford City Council and Love Your Chelmsford sites.
  • On site poster cases (a copy of this poster attached for reference; Parishes are welcome to share this should they wish).
  • A separate email is being sent to all member and Parish councils.

Parish Council accounts – Conclusion of audit

The external auditor has completed their examination of the Parish Council’s accounts for the year 2024-25 and the Notice of conclusion of audit has been published today.

Here’s your chance to find out what we have been doing and what our plans are to regenerate your local environment and look after your water supply.

  • Drop in anytime between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
  • Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and, of course, tap water will be available.

There are no car parking facilities at the venue. The nearest car park to Chelmsford CVS is the Fairfield Road Car Park.
