Meets on Tuesday mornings 9.30am-12.30 keeping the churchyard tidy. For anyone who enjoys a bit of gardening and social chat.
Meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 2pm in the church hall. Ladies Group meetings are light hearted and varied, with outside speakers talking about their charities or covering topical issues, whilst others are of a social or spiritual nature.
For parents and carers with pre-school children. Meets weekly at 10am on Thursday mornings in the church hall.
Meets Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the church hall in term time and usually perform at the once-a-month family services and on other special occasions. We always perform at the most popular family services, such as the Christmas Crib Service, Mothering Sunday, Operation Christmas Child and such like. At our regular evening meetings we spend our time planning the performances to help convey the message of the service, choosing an appropriate song, planning our moves, making costumes, making props, then its practice, practice, practice. We are always happy to welcome back people who have been part of the crew in the past and we are always happy to welcome new members. Being part of the Puppet Ministry means being dedicated to do our best for the young families who attend our church and in return we often have lots of fun and laughter.
A National Lottery Heritage Funded project focusing on the works of the famous East Anglian artist Rosemary Rutherford, aiming to highlight her contribution to St Mary’s church and learn about the skills involved in fresco painting and stained glass. All volunteers warmly welcomed to help guide visitors to the church and exhibition.
