Roselawn Farm – Update

Following a number of complaints by residents to Chelmsford City Council Planning Department regarding work undertaken at Roselawn Farm, the following statement has been issued by the City Council –

Dear Residents

Thank you for drawing our attention to the activity taking place at the above location.
The case is being dealt with by Ben Atkinson under planning enforcement reference 23/00282/ENFA.
We can confirm following the complaints received over the weekend, Officers have visited the site to consider the status of the land.
On site Officer’s noted the works undertaken to facilitate the use of the land as a caravan site for Travelling Showpeople.
Unfortunately these works have been undertaken without planning permission. As such, the Council is considering what action may be required to remedy this breach of planning control.
