Roselawn Farm – Latest update from Planning Enforcement
To ensure residents are kept fully informed on developments on Roselawn Farm, Chelmsford City Council Planning Enforcement Team have released the following statement –
Dear Residents,
We write to update you following the Inunction Hearing on the 5 March 2024.
We can advise a final Injunction Order has been granted that continues to restrict any further development or occupation, and requires the removal of the plots, hardstanding, caravans etc and restoration of the land within 3 months of a dismissed planning appeal. A copy of this Order is available to view online via the Council’s website quoting reference 23/00282/ENFA.
This follows the refusal of planning application 23/01487/FUL (which sought consent for the change of use of land to showmen’s permanent quarters), and decision taken by the applicants to make an appeal to the Secretary of State. With this in mind, the remedial works set out in the Injunction Order will be held in abeyance pending the outcome of this appeal.
In the interim we will continue to monitor the site to ensure no breach of the terms of the Order.
Kind regards
