Roselawn Farm – Planning application refused.
CONTROVERSIAL PLANNING APPLICATION REFUSED
A retrospective planning application for change of use of land to Showmen’s Permanent Quarters, south-east of Roselawn Farm, has been refused. The application caused a lot of concern in the village, especially as the development had already been started without planning permission. Over 50 residents objected, as well as the Parish Council.
You can read more about the reasons for the refusal in the Officer Report on the City Council website: https://planning.chelmsford.gov.uk/planning/planning-documents?SDescription=23/01487/FUL It is not known if the applicant will appeal against refusal.
Enforcement: when development work started, the City Council obtained an Interim High Court Injunction against further work. We understand there will be another High Court hearing soon.
